Although, The IPOB group kicked against the president’s visit to the state and declared Thursday as a compulsory sit_at_home protest over the President’s visit.
It should be recalled that this isn’t the first time a sit-at-home order has been given by the IPOB members. On the 9th of August, 2021, they first gave an order for all those in the South-eastern region of Nigeria to sit at home every Monday until their leader, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu is released from prison. Meanwhile, after four days, the order was suspended and it was said that it was only going to be observed any day Nnamdi Kanu is appearing in court.
Notwithstanding, The President’s visit was calm, blissful and under tight security.
He also commends the governor for the good work he has started, saying the projects will boost economic activities in the state, and ease traffic congestion.
