SAYS ITS TIME TO ADOPT A YOUTH WITH AN UNARGUABLE CHARACTER AND PASSION FOR THE DEVELOPMENT OF OKIGWE SOUTH.
…PLEDGES TO SUPPORT COMR. KESAANDU OF THE YPP
The rate of underdevelopment, infrastructural decay and lack of youth empowerment in Okigwe South Federal Constituency remain a major concern for the youths of Ehime Mbano, Ihitte/Uboma, Obowo Federal Constituency.
Youths under the auspices of ‘Okigwe Our Own Movement(OOOM)’, a social-political organisation, after their monthly meeting held on Sunday 4th July, 2022 at Ehime Mbano, unanimously agreed that there must be a paradigm shift in the representation across the zone, considering the poor representation witnessed today which has led to poor infrastructural development, lack of youth empowerment, to mention but a few.
Addressing newsmen after the meeting, the Publicity Secretary of the group Dr. Kelechi Anosike said, they have decided that all those parading themselves as being experienced lawmakers and claiming ranking have not done Okigwe South better. He advised the youths whom he said has greater numerical strength to decide who represents the people, never to be hoodwinked into believing the ‘tales by moonlight’ story of having legislative capacity and ranking by our elders who have been in same position and similar ones in the state assembly. “Once we finish with Okigwe South Federal Constituency, we shall face Okigwe North and Senate, having finished those of the State Houses of Assembly of our six State Constituencies respectively. In the Young Progressives Party(YPP) Candidate, Comr. Kesaandu Kenkwo Kingsley, we have seen a passionate youth who over time had prepared himself for the task ahead and has an unarguable passion, zeal and sincerity for the development of the society. We have decided to throw our weight behind him and mobilize as much people as possible across the Federal Constituency to ensure victory in the Feb. 25, 2023 polls” says Dr. Anosike.
He also said that the position of the ‘OOOM’ on the 2023 Presidency remains unshakable, saying anyone who wants a better society must join hands in making the former Anambra State Governor, Mr. Peter Obi, the President. He further advised that everyone should take advantage of the INEC extension of PVC registration to ensure readiness for the all important change.
