There was pandemonium at Imsu Junction on the 2nd of August 2021 when the taskforce of Imo State Environmental Transformation Commission (ENTRACO) destroyed goods belonging to vendors along works layout axis. This event happened in the afternoon at about 1pm when ENTRACO taskforce alongside armed Policemen stormed imsu junction and enforced the strict law restricting vendors from being by the side of the road
DSG MEDIA source gathered that prior to the event ENTRACO operatives always stormed this place on a regular basis to tell vendors the hazard they’re causing by being so close to the roadside and often pleaded with them to vacate the place so as not to be forcefully removed
Speaking with one of the vendors who pleaded to remain anonymous told DSG MEDIA Team that they have no other place to go , not enough money to rent a shop due to the state of Economy , the source who is a watermelon vendor was crying profusely because her goods were destroyed. Most of the vendors comprising mainly of students who use this as their source of income to fend for themselves amidst the ungoing strike have been shattered because their goods are no money and money has been lost
These traders now are out there without goods or even money to rent a comfortable space to run their business most of them actually fend for themselves daily from the sells they make through these small scale business they run by the roadside
Batchers belonging to the vendors were cut to pieces and burnt at the spot while the iron seats recovered from the vendors was seized by the Operatives of ENTRACO
