Father PETER Zuni a Catholic priest, of the queen of apostolic, catholic church kakuri parish, KADUNA was sacked for allegedly marrying two women.
One among the wives is deceased and the surviving wife decided to reveal the long kept secret 3 weeks ago.
This report was confirmed to Sunday sun by Arch bishop of KADUNA catholic Diocese, Bishop Ndagoso Manoso.
Bishop Manoso alleged that father Zuni actually committed the sin and also disclosed that the woman at the centre of the controversy confronted him with a baby which was said be father zuni’s and after due investigations by his office it was confirmed that the priest was her secret husband.
Bishop Manoso said “it is true that he had an affair with the two women and they both had children for him but one of the women is late already. We are not God, we did not know on time until now that he had affairs with two women.
The church decided that the priest had to go because the church doesn’t allow priests to marry. So he had to go and look after his children and his matrimonial home. By December he will be 30 years in priesthood and is now 54 years old, at this age what can he do with his life?
Nobody can employ him now. He spent seven years in the seminary and 30 years in priesthood that is 37 and now that he’s 54 what can he do with his life. The church too is going through a lot of trauma. So we need everybody’s prayers so that we can be able to put this incident behind us”.
