…INAUGURATES INTERIM CAMPAIGN COUNCIL FOR 2023 ELECTIONS
…ASSURES CONSTITUENTS OF EFFECTIVE REPRESENTATION.
The Young Progressives Party Candidate for the 2023 Okigwe South Federal Constituency election, Engr. Comr. Kenkwo Kesaandu Kingsley on Sunday, July 24, celebrated his 2022 Birthday Anniversary and also inaugurated members of his Interim Campaign Council amidst pomp and peagentry.
Engr. Kenkwo in his address, thanked God Almighty for saving him from the hands of hoodlums. He further told his constituents and friends who came out enmass to the event that he is not desperate to go to the House Of Representatives but so passionate to see Okigwe South Federal Constituency work again. He highlighted few bills he intends presenting to the House Of Representatives for the good, growth and development of Ehime Mbano, Ihitte/Uboma, Obowo Federal Constituency. He also spoke about the unharnessed human and natural resources across Ehime Mbano, Ihitte/Uboma and Obowo Local Government Areas respectively, which is promised to use his office to put into effective use for the betterment of the constitutents. He advised youths to shun sycophancy, thuggery and other forms of electoral vices in the forthcoming election. “The leadership that has been promised us is today and with the current state of our federal Constituency and country at large, it is the responsibility of youths to take up the task of making the society work again and better for all. I shall be your servant and give the good people of Okigwe South effective representation. I shall carry the yearnings and aspirations of the people of Ehime Mbano, Ihitte/Uboma and Obowo whole and entire and lay them bare at the Green Chambers of the National Assembly. I ask for your support and assure you that you shall be proud you supported me after my fours years in office. Please endeavor to get your PVC, which remains the only tool to enthrone sound and effective representation and never stop praying for me” says Comr. Kesaandu.
In his remark, the State Chairman of YPP, Hon. Victor Diala said that the youths are the leaders of today and expressed his profound joy over the candidacy of Engr. Kenkwo whom his described as the new face of the new Okigwe South. He advised the youths to queue behind him, saying that this is an opportunity for their voices to be heard. He went further to say that everyone within and across the state can attest that Engr. Kesaandu is a voice that can be trusted to speak for a better society.
The President of South East Youths For Equity Alliance, Comr. Ifeanyi Eke in his own remark said that Comr. Kenkwo is a rare gift to Okigwe South and should be supported in all ramifications to ensure that the voice of Okigwe South Federal Constituency is heard loud, clear and constructive at the House Of Representatives come 2023.
The Board of Trustees Secretary of Okigwe Zone Youths Progressives Association (OZYPA), Comr. Ofoeze Uzochukwi in his own remark said “this is a new dawn for our Federal Constituency and this aspiration is not about the person of Comr. Kenkwo but for all. We are going to make a resounding statement through this aspiration and I urge every young person to see this as our collective project”.
The State Chairman while inaugurating the team, charged them to be dedicated, responsible and constructive while discharging their duty.
The event also witnessed the official and public blessings of the members of Kenkwo’s family to their son. Okenze Romanus O. J. Kenkwo (KSM, JP) who is the eldest man of the family and father of Engr. Kesaandu in the presence of extended family members, said that Engr. Kesaandu is their son in whom they are well pleased. “Good people of Okigwe South Federal Constituency, we present to you an epitome of courage, apt description of credibility and sagacity personified. He is willing and passionate to see the society better and we have no doubt that he will make us proud” he said.
The event was attended by over three hundred youths from the federal Constituency, serving State Assembly members, House of Assembly Candidates of different political parties from Ihitte/Uboma, Obowo and Ehime Mbano, Priests, Traditional Rulers, YPP leadership etc.
